Johnny Appleseed Day

This week we are learning all about "Apples A Plenty" and we kicked off our apple celebrations with Johnny Appleseed Day last Friday. Everyone gathered in the lobby for some educational videos about Johnny Appleseed and apple sauce-making before returning to the their classrooms to make their own!

​Our two Pre-K classes joined forces while our Toddler and Pre-School classes worked together to make delicious crock pot apple sauce. Our Kindergartners even hand peeled the apples used in their cinnamony apple sauce.

Appreciating Our Grandparents!

Yesterday we celebrated Grandparents' Day at Future Scholars by inviting all of our students' grandparents to a breakfast! Grandparents had a chance to visit their grandchild's classroom and enjoy juice and pastries together. Our students also presented the grandparents with the creative and heartfelt gifts they created last week.

Welcome back to school! We had a great first week here at Future Scholars filled with fun and learning. We are thrilled that everyone is adjusting well to their new new teachers and classrooms and we can't wait for an amazing 2015-2016 school year.

PAB Meetings to Start Again in October

Parents: We are looking forward to starting up our Parent Advisory Board this October and we need parent volunteers! PAB Meetings will be held monthly (exact dates TBA) and are a great opportunity for you to get involved with your child's education. Discussions at our PAB Meetings include school and state policies, fundraisers, special events, and more. Plus, you are welcome to bring any other concerns, questions, or ideas to the meetings--we would love to hear your input!

Please see management if you are interested in joining out Parent Advisory Board so we can take the next steps to planning our first meeting of the year. We look forward to seeing you there and hearing what you have to say!
