For today's Cooking Class, the pre-school students in Room 11 popped homemade pop corn! They took turns counting kernels and placing them inside of the pop corn machine. Once it was full, we turned the machine on to watch the kernels burst into delicious pop corn!

This month, our students enjoyed a delicious and patriotic Cooking Class--American flags made out of graham crackers, whipped cream, red licorice strips, and blueberries! Yum!
We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. Future Scholars will be open regular hours tomorrow, Friday July 3RD. This month's Cooking Class was lots of fun--our students worked together with their teachers to make JELL-O! We used red--perfect for the upcoming Memorial Day holiday! Ms. Charlene's pre-schoolers took turns stirring the mixture of water and gelatin. Then, the JELL-O was packed up and put in the refrigerator. After setting, the students enjoyed a special snack!
Last week was Rainbows & Colors week at Future Scholars and we celebrated with a colorful and tasty Cooking Class. Our students used their fine motor skills to either place fruit loops on a plate in the shape of a rainbow or thread them onto a straw. Marshmallows made the perfect clouds to finish things off!
February's Cooking Class all about fondue! With the help of their teachers, our students made white chocolate-covered marshmallows and pretzels by dipping them in melted chocolate! Some of our classes used food coloring to make the chocolate pink and red and decorated them with red sprinkles for a festive Valentine's Day treat!
