The toddlers in Room 9 had a blast playing and learning this Tuesday while celebrating Memorial Day. They learned about mixing colors and improved their fine motor skills while mixing food dyes with shaving cream to make fun holiday creations. They also made festive hats to get in the patriotic spirit!

Ms. Karen's dance and cheer class will have their spring dance recital this Thursday, May 28TH at 9:15AM. All dance students should arrive to school early and be dressed in a plain leotard--no tutus, please (sheer/chiffon skirts are okay). Lastly, parents and family are invited, but we must limit guests to 3 per dance student due to limited space. We hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend and the unofficial start to summer! Memorial Day is a great time to enjoy food and fun with friends and family, but it's important not to forget what this holiday is truly about-- remembering those who have died in service of the United States of America. This past week at Future Scholars was "Celebrate America" week and our students were busy learning about their country. In between your weekend festivities, why not involve your children in some traditional Memorial Day observances? Here are some ideas that are easy to explain to children and can also be fun:
