 It's Dr. Seuss Week and we have lots of fun planned! Our students will be reading books by the beloved children's author, making fun crafts, and enjoying fun-themed snacks....be sure to check with your child's teacher about any special activities happening in your classroom! We are most excited about celebrating Dr. Seuss' 112th birthday on Wednesday, March 2ND since we will be in full Dr. Seuss mode! We're asking all of our students and staff to come to school on Wednesday dressed as your favorite Dr. Seuss character. Check out the photos below for some ideas. Be creative...you don't have to spend a lot of money to put together a fun outfit!  Next week our academic theme is "The Mitten" by Jan Brett, a Ukrainian Folktale about a lost mitten, which becomes the home for multiple woodland creatures including a mouse, a fox, and a bear. We will be reading the book and doing Mitten-themed crafts all week and this year we're adding another special activity to fit with the themed and give back to the community....
Beginning Monday, December 7TH, we will be collecting new winter gloves, mittens, hats, and scarves for children and adults to fill our "Mitten Tree". All items will be donated to the Burlington County Family Success Center in Mt. Holly and will benefit local families this winter.  Tomorrow, Wednesday November 18TH, all orders from our Claire's Gourmet fundraiser will be arriving!
Due to lack of refrigeration space, we must ask that ALL items be taken home tomorrow. If you do not normally attend on Wednesdays, please make arrangements to pick up your order so your tasty treats don't go to waste. Another announcement will be posted tomorrow once the orders have arrived and are ready for pickup, so keep your eye out.  Our Thanksgiving Feast will be on Monday, November 23RD this year. Our classrooms will enjoy Thanksgiving fun and activities in their classroom before enjoying their feasts at lunchtime. A Thanksgiving-themed school lunch of turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, and corn will be provided to those buying school lunch. You may purchase school lunch for your child at the front desk. Be sure to check your child's classroom sign-up sheet for extra treats to accompany the school lunch Thanksgiving meal.
