REMINDER: Future Scholars will be open regular hours next Monday Jan. 19TH for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
If you have off from work on MLK Day, consider dedicating your time to a day of service. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, "Life's most persistent question is: 'What are you doing for others?'"--a quote that inspired the MLK Day of Service. The MLK Day of Service is a day when Americans across the country answer King's question by coming together to serve their neighbors and communities.
Participating in community service empowers individuals, strengthens communities, bridges barriers, creates solutions to social problems, and moves us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a beloved community. MLK Day is the perfect opportunity to teach children about the importance of helping others and building a strong and supportive community. To get involved with a service project this MLK Day, visit All For Good and browse the projects listed. There are tons of great opportunities that you (and your children) can get involved in next Monday!
